The gallery was created in November 2013 by Mr Denis Roche, who runs his business in its entirety and takes advantage of his acquired experiences in diverse fields of activity.
His brother, Benoît, joined him taking with him his graphic designer and photographer skills. He takes care of the artistic and communication part. Both are true collectors and extremely fond of Urban design for years.

The sale is not the only activity of the gallery because they took part in two exhibitions in 2014, one in Saint-Etienne (France) and the other in Crans-Montana (Switzerland). The main purpose of this is to instigate people’s curiosity and to introduce this art in places where we’re not used seeing it.

The production of works in various studios with artists is also a mattering point that Denis and Benoît are developping. This adventure began with the realization in June, 2014 of a lithography made by Ella & Pitr by using a technique of traditional stone impression in an old workshop in Villeurbanne (URDLA). The cultural aspect is put forward in the video, produced by Benoît, which shows how the lithography is created. https://vimeo.com/soldart

We are real passionate lovers and collectors, and that is very important to us. We are not here to sell everything at any price, advice is an important part of our work. Our objective is that our customers are satisfied by their acquisitions and by the service which we bring to them. We select in priority artists who already have an artistic carrier. Young talented artists are of course also welcome, they differ by their technique and quality of their productions. Besides, Sold Art is not just a “virtual” art gallery. We like meeting our customers, our artists, our partners because human contact is part of our values.
